Leander went from a small town to one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the region inside two decades, and the result is layered housing stock. Homes from the 2000s build-out are reaching the end of their original equipment's life now; homes from the last few years have not started that clock yet. The right answer depends on which one you are in.
In the older subdivisions the pattern is familiar: original condensers at twenty-plus years, some on refrigerant no longer manufactured, ducts stretched across attics that pass 130°F on a summer afternoon, and a single undersized return trying to feed the whole house. In the newer ones it is unbalanced ductwork and builder-grade equipment stretched by a Central Texas August.
Those need opposite recommendations, which is why we measure before we advise. Every Leander visit includes a full evaluation — static pressure, airflow, refrigerant charge, duct condition — with photos and video of what we found, and three options with the numbers rather than a single quote.
